Is there a way to have the slideshow loop through once and then stop on the first slide?

Unfortunately this is not possible in the current version of the extension.

Is there any way this choice can be written in, please?

I would be happy if it went through just once and stopped.
I can always put a copy of the first image again as the last image to acommodate this.

You can use the behaviors and apply "Pause" action on the last image.

I have got Dreamweaver to show me the behaviours, using Tag Inspector window, but I'm afraid it's not obvious to me which one in the list it dropped down is the one I apply it to?

Sorry, it is my mistake - i misread the topic title and answered about the pause behavior for the HTML5 Slideshow extension.

Unfortunately using Nivo Slider it is not possible to stop the loop.
