Hi a nice feature could be a 'paste from Word' or 'paste from Text' button which erases the Word code.

Hello Chantal,

at present this is an automated process. When you paste from word the editor automatically removes the code from word. However it does not remove the in-line styling. This you do by selecting the text and pressing the Format Cleanup button.

This is one of the most frustrating aspects of the HTML editor. The only way I've found to paste content in without any styles or bad code from word is to first paste into notepad, and then copy from notepad and paste into the HTML editor. It's an extra step, but it works.

Yes Steve.. the notepad thing works well.. but try explaining that to your client.. for me its not an issue.. but when i give this to my client for use.. they dont want to hear this..
they want a solution to remove all they styling without them doing anything.. i would love this REMOVE WORD INLINE STYLE button on the editor.. would make my life so much easier.. I would expect this word class editor to have this function in it after all these requests.. thanks for your reply Steve..

Well, then there are alternatives. Unless dmxzone adds another feature to better handle this, alternatives are your only option.

The HTML editor extension from dwzone-it.com works well too and has an integrated icon on the toolbar for "paste as plain text" which strips all formatting from the content. I have that extension as well and use it just as often as dmxzone's, but it's not perfect either. But... it does handle this specific function better.
