Site definitions wiped out after 6.1 update!!
At first I was happy to see an update to DW MX, which contains more than its share of bugs. So I downloaded 6.1, ran it, opened MX, and lo and behold, my SITE DEFINITIONS ARE GONE! If I had read the updater tech notes first, I would have known that I should back them up, but updates normally FIX problems not CAUSE them!! So be very careful with this update, and make sure to backup your registry as well, where you can recover your site definitions in a bind.
The irony is that this is the 2nd time this has happened to me--one of the nastier known bugs that I was unfortunate enough to find prior to the update fiasco is that all site definitions sometimes disappear when DW crashes! I had to uninstall and reinstall MX a few weeks ago, which luckily imports your sites from Ultradev 4, which I still have. The Macromedia gods are against me!!
