Applying a Clean & Imageless Design to an Article – Part I

How a simple and attractive design can be achieved with CSS

In this first installment of a two part tutorial, Matt Ward would like to show you how to use simple CSS to apply an attractive, well-balanced design to an article. Instead of just using meaningless placeholder text or writing something entirely new, he will also be using one of his favorite articles that he has written at SpyreStudios, entitled “A Coder’s Journey”.

In Part II of this post, he's going to be looking at something quite different, using a variety of different jQuery techniques to bring some added interaction to the design. That should be rolling over the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
