Hi, I'm considering purchasing Layer Genie, but am worried about significant increases in file size. One of the reasons I have been searching for an extension like this is because DW and Fireworks add 30K to any page for the simplest pop up menu. Obviously the fancier the Genie menu/slide show, the larger the script it generates, but can you give me some idea of what kind of sizes we're talking about?

The latest version of Layer Genie only writes the required functions to an externally linked JS file, so the 'load weight' varies greatly with the Layer Genie options you choose to use on your pages.

<i>Example:</i>
When building a multi-level flyout menu system, without any special 'show effects', Layer Genie now adds no more than about 8Kb to the site.
That includes anchoring (sub)menus to their trigger/parent so they are always positioned right.
Adding special effects will add to that 8Kb to a maximum of about 16Kb.
